Uncovering Lost Treasure

Today and Yesterday:
It is the fifth day in a row where it is either rainy or cloudy here in norther California.  I need it to be sunny damnit!  Well since I can't really do anything outside I've been stuck cleaning up inside all day.  The hardest place to really clean and organize has to be the garage though.  Whenever we don't want to deal with actually putting something away where it is supposed to go, we just throw it into the garage to "deal with it later".  Instead of donating all of these miscellaneous articles of clothing and old electronics, they just pile up and clutter my garage.  Yet nostalgia hits every minute of me cleaning the garage and brings back memories which stop my cleaning and reorganizing. It is amazing what one can find when they clean up around the house.
I like to call the things I find treasures because it seems like I am usually digging for treasure when I clean. One of the 'treasures' i found was an old ps2 steering wheel for a racing game I had thrown in my garage years ago.  Its big, wires everywhere and heavy.  Another treasure I found was a broken arcade stick which brought back fond memories of me button mashing playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on my dreamcast.  I honestly don't remember why I even kept it since it seems to be broken to the point of no repair.  And finally the last bits of treasure I found was an assortment of computer parts from old computers or parts I had pulled from my rig before.  With those I plan on putting together a PC for my brother so he wont have to use my laptop anymore.

Movies:
I spent my Sunday chilling out and watching a few movies I hadn't seen in a while.  Yesterday, I felt like watching "The Big Lebowski" again after reading another bloggers post on movies that don't suck.  I have seen that film a numerous amount of times, yet I like it just as much each time I watch it.  Also, every time I see Jeff Bridges, all I can see is "The Dude".  It doesn't matter what movie it is.  Like when he was in "Tron Legacy" or when he was in "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People", he could have very different roles and he would still be The Dude in my eyes.
Another movie I ended up watching yesterday was almost a complete 180 from "The Big Lebowski".  I ended up watching "The Godfather" part 1 of course.  This is one of my favorite movies to watch when I have absolutely nothing to do.  The characters I think are what make this movie stand out.  I like how Al Pacino's character develops from not wanting to be a part of the family into fully embracing the Mafia lifestyle.  Also, looking at Al Pacino then, and looking at him in the later movies is always strange to me.  The viewers actually get to see how Al Pacino has aged throughout the movies.

Music:
The music I have been listening to recently is some more electronic music.  I go through phases where I like to listen to old school hip hop, current popular music, and various types of electro and right now I'm in an electro phase.  Maybe it is because I use it to workout and jog with it since I realized I tend to listen to more hip hop when I'm in mid semester.
The artist I'm listening to right now is Alex Gaudino.  He made the popular song called "I'm In Love".  Gaudino also makes a lot of club music and often will remix popular songs into dance music one often hears at clubs.  If you want to give Alex Gaudino a try or just listen to other club/house music I suggest you go to this link and listen to the music there:  Salacious Sound

Beyond:
Finally, tomorrow I will probably end up going to goodwill to donate some of the old clothes and miscellaneous stuff I found today while cleaning.  I used to always throw out all my old clothes or just destroy my old stuff but I have come to realize that others might actually be in need of my clothes.  Besides, when you donate a large amount of things, you get a sweet tax deduction at the end of the day and who doesn't want to that?
I'll be trying to get a part time job somewhere else sometime this week so I'll be writing about that for sure.  For now, whatever job I find will have to do but I'm really hoping on banking in an office job.  I want to hear about some of your horror stories about applying for jobs and job interviews if you have any.  I'm sure you will read about mine this week.
