Interview and Life Hacks

Today:
I had an interview today with a local business who was looking for a bookkeeper.  Turns out, I'm not what they are looking for since I heard that they hired someone else after I had left.  Thats just my luck though.  I'm just glad I had an interview.  I must say though the interview did seem to go well throughout the whole process.  The interviewer asked me the standard questions and she asked me about my past experience which I think was what took me down since I don't have any REAL experience in bookkeeping.  I've had jobs before most of which was me handling money though and making sure accounts balance out.

Even though I failed at getting this job, something good did seem to come out of it, since I remembered an old "life hack" that my older sister taught me years ago when she started going through job searches.  If you didn't get your dress shirt (or any clothes i think) to the dry cleaners to iron out or you don't have enough time to iron the clothes yourself, simply enough just toss the shirt into the dryer for about 5 minutes.  When you take the shirt out, you can do a quick "ironing" with your hands and wear the shirt immediately before you leave.  I have many dress shirts that I wear out when I go dancing and to clubs but I never bother really ironing them or taking them to the cry cleaners for a professional job.  This, however was for a job interview and when I pulled out the dress shirt I wanted to wear, I realized how wrinkled it was.  Thankfully my sister showed me that "life hack" that comes in handy.

*Picture for last years event*

Also, today and yesterday, a bunch of my friends came back from Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegans which I was supposed to go to but with this whole situation with my grandfather and having to take care of the house, I couldn't make it this year.  Last year's EDC was one of the best experiences I had ever had especially since I got to meet new people and bonded with my closest friends even more.  I wanted the same thing to happen this year and meet even more people, and share the experience but I had to change my plans for my family.  I would give up many things for my family, just so I could be there to support them.

Beyond:
Gonna be working on Workout Wednesday for tomorrow later on tonight and will be different than the past weeks workouts.  I'm going to write a little something about pre workout supplements and a bit about nutrition.  Instead of throwing out full workouts I will probably focus mainly on just a few workouts and talk about muscle groups from now on making it easier for a broader audience to get something out of the blog.
Now that my friends are back from their trip and I don't have to watch the house anymore as closely as I had to back then I'll be going out a bit more and having some more content for you guys to read.  Nothing has been planned for this week but with most of my friends I never really end up planning anything out.  Stuff just happens with us and ends up being fun for all of us.

What are some of the "life hacks" that you guys know of?  It could be anything from a shortcut to doing your ironing like me or something like folding a shirt like I've seen in videos on youtube.  There has got to be some interesting stories or tricks out there that people put into use each and every day.  They are good for saving time and keeping stress free during important situations like job interviews or presentations.

  1. Man that is smart. I guess all ironing is really is heating up the fabric and then pressing it so why not stick it in the dryer and hand press. Do you know if this shrinks the clothing though? Last thing you would want during an interview would be super tight shirts haha

  10. I like the shirt tip. My favorite life hack was to sleep with a clean towel covering my pillow every night and my acne cleared up so much

My parents taught me the dryer trick a while ago. It's pretty handy, since I hate ironing.
